Norwegian Cruise Lines newest ship, Norwegian Escape had its maiden float out on Saturday 15th August 2015, the new 4,200 passenger cruise liner was testing her sea legs for the very first time.

The brand new Breakaway Plus Class will be carrying passengers on a seven night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Miami beginning 14th November 2015.

The ship has been under construction since September 2014 and once delivered it will weigh in at  a colossal 164,600 tonnes and will be the largest in the fleet. This will be their newest ship since the arrival of the Norwegian Getaway in 2013.

The ship will visit some great Caribbean Islands, somewhere I have wanted to visit especially by a cruise, from St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Tortola, British Virgin Islands and Nassau Bahamas. Imagine relaxing with a nice cold drink as you sail into port or a nice cold cocktail as you leave port, the second being my favourite.

Of course with this being a brand new ship Norwegian Cruise Lines are going to pull out all the stops to make this maiden season the best it can possibly be. They will have onboard the Tony Award winning musical production ” Million Dollar Quartet” & “After Midnight” and even “The Breakfast Club”.

New features onboard will include the largest water park at sea, largest ropes course at sea and also a version of Miami’s famed Tobacco Road Blues Bar! Definitely worth a visit.

For us Travel Agents dont forget the Norwegian Escape will be with us in Southampton this coming October where we will be able to view what she has before we start selling to our lovely customers 🙂

How many times have we all booked a couple of excursions on a cruise, sat down, added up them and basically its cost us all small fortune?

Here at #CruiseClubUK we use a company called #CruisingExcursions which guarantees you to save up to 65% on shore excursions with them rather than paying the over inflated prices that the cruise lines charge.

They offer excursions in every port that a ship docks into, regardless of which cruise line you choose an excursion will be available for you. They have all local guides which will accompany you on all excursions, they will pick you up from the dock and whisk you away for the day to explore the destination of your choice.

They offer over 12,000 unforgettable tours and activities in 700 ports. Plus if you only want a port transfer they can also offer you that.

They also guarantee to get you back to the ship on time, If for any reason you cant dock into a port where you have an excursion booked then that excursion will be fully refunded to you. They have professional English speaking guides and drivers and also offer a price match guarantee service.

In destinations where Visas are required Cruising Excursions have already taken care of this for you, you can sit back, relax knowing that you don’t have the hassle in trying to obtain one for yourself.

From tours round the Vatican, a stroll through the narrow winding streets of Venice to the hussle and bustle of St. Petersburg or even Dunns River Falls in Jamiaca there plenty to choose from.

Please visit to see which wonderful excursions you can book for your cruise.

Happy Cruising everyone 🙂

Costa Cruises have announced that they are to build two new mega ships between 2019 and 2020.

The two mega ships will be built in Finland and will be the first to be powered by Liquefied Gas (LNG)

The new ships will be the largest in the world by passenger numbers carrying 6,600 each.

I personally cannot wait to step onboard one of the ships as im a massive Costa Cruises fan, Ive now been on 3 cruises with them to the Mediterranean and the United Arab Emirates aboard the Costa Fortuna and Costa Luminosa.

Yes people have their reservations with this cruise line but personally I feel they are one of the best, friendly staff, great food and lots to do onboard.

Plus with Costa you have the added bonus of booking an All Inclusive drinks package for £21.00 per person per day, which is a must as drinks at sea can be very expensive, this way the drinks are prepaid, it includes the 15% gratuity and there will be no nasty bill at the end.

Some people are put off that Costa Cruises have a mandatory service charge of 8 Euros per person per day, I think this is acceptable due to the high standard of service I have received on my past cruises.

I believe that one day all cruise lines will go down the same route, or at least they should include them within the cost of the cruise just like Azamara.

So whats your thoughts on the size of these two new ship, is bigger better?

Would you like to be onboard?

I know that I will definitely be visiting one of them just to get a feel that I am sailing the seas with 6,599 other passengers.

Having just returned from one of the hottest ever holidays I am now sad to be back in the very gloomy UK.

I have been to Majorca numerous times but I will have to say this years was the hottest, at 44 degrees every day for a week and very little breeze, it made the holiday very intense, but what a great holiday I had.

Me and my partner stayed in the resort of El Arenal which is located only 10 minutes away from Palma Airport, we have been to this resort before – last August for a lovely 5 night stay. El Arenal mainly caters for the German / Dutch market but we still managed to find afew Brits amongst the crowds.

We chose this area again as it was cheaper to book an All Inclusive Hotel than book a Self Catering apartment in the likes of Palma Nova, Magaluf, Santa Ponsa and Alcudia.

We stayed in the Hotel Seramar Luna Luna Park which is located 5 minutes away from the beach, surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants, the hotel its self was very clean but was over run with European college students on spring break, so be aware when booking dont choose this area in June / July especially if you want to unwind on your holiday, the food aswell is something to be desired, not my taste at all, so with us paying a great price for the hotel we ate and drank outside the hotel, this we didnt mind as we had already budgeted to eat out after reading some reviews.

The beach is a must in this area, white sands, clear blue waters, especially warm at this time of the year, even very shallow so great for kids. I just used to lay there watching the world go by, plane spotting and also watching all the Cruise ships pass by in the bay.

The local people in the bars and restaurants are so friendly, we made quite afew new friends whilst we was there, the area itself is relatively reasonable to eat and drink out, the Spanish restaurants especially where they cant do enough for you.

Next time I visit Majorca I think I will try a new resort somewhere different, but one thing I cant fault is how beautiful the Island is, my next holiday will be to the Island of Ibiza in September, something which I have being planning to do for a while.

Here at Cruise Club UK we have now brought back our number one selling Tour & Cruise offers for 2016.

The best benefits of doing a Tour & Cruise in my perspective is you have no weight limit for the case so you can pack in as much as you like.

This year we have even more local pick up points as we have added Scottish departures points and a few others dotted around the country.

The best feeling about a Tour & Cruise is once you have loaded your suitcase on to the couch you wont see it again until you check into your hotel or cruise, you can then sit back, relax and take in some of the stunning that Europe has to offer.

Sail from Dover to Calais and then head towards Reims for a one night hotel stay, where after breakfast you will head towards the centre of Reims where you could visit one of the Champagne Houses that Reims has to offer.

After the day in Reims you will then head towards Dijon for another hotel stay, the following morning you will then travel to Avignon which houses the Popes Palace and world heritage site.

We then cross the border into Spain  also known as the wild and rugged coast before reaching our hotel just outside Barcelona.

The next stop will be the cruise for a fantastic 7 nights cruise taking in the sights of Naples, Civitavecchia for Rome, Livorno for Florence & pisa, the famous Cannes and then Palma.

After a relaxing cruise we will leave Barcelona and head towards France where we cross the Milau Viaduct, the worlds tallest bridge in the world, often called the bridge above the clouds. Another hotel stay near Vichy we will leave the  vineyards behind us and make our way to Paris for our last overnight stop.

Unfortunately after breakfast we will make our way to Calais for our onwards journey home.

As you can see from above this a lovely trip to be had.

Hello everyone and may I firstly thank you all for reading my latest blog!

Today Im going to be looking into the costs of drinks package with various different cruise lines and the benefits they have.

Firstly I believe Costa Cruises have the best drinks package out there at just £21 per person per day which includes a wide selection of drinks, I purchased this package when I traveled to Dubai in March and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is traveling with them as drinks can be quite pricey whilst on a cruise especially with the 15% gratuity added to each drink (this is wavered once you purchase a drinks package)

Celebrity Cruises have a few on offer starting with the Classic Non Alcohol package at $18, the Classic Drinks package at $55 and the Premium Drinks package at $65 (all per person per day)

Royal Caribbean also have a few on offer starting with the Royal Replenish at $19, Select Drinks package at $35, Premium drinks package at $49 and the Ultimate Drinks package at $55.00 (all per person per day)

Holland America have recently released the Signature Drinks package at $44.95 per person per day which allows you up to 15 drinks a day.

To be fair I always purchase a drinks package before I travel as it saves money and if your money conscious like me you don’t want a big bill at the end of the cruise.

Book before the 29/05/15 and receive a free Premium drinks package with Norwegian Cruise Lines. Book atleast an Outside Cabin or above to receive this amazing freebie! Inside Cabins do not count.

Book one of the fantastic Haven Suites and receive the following, Premium drinks package, Speciality dining package, onboard credit and $75.00 towards an excursion.

With many itineraries to choose from you will be spoilt for choice, Mediterranean, Caribbean to name just a few.

With brand new state of the art ships and some older favorites there are many ships to suit everyone’s needs.

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to read my blog!

Now is the best time to be booking with Royal Caribbean with there fantastic deals. free drinks package and up to $400.00 per cabin on board credit until 09/02/15. Yes the free gratuities that you received from the promotion in January have now finished but don’t forget tips are not mandatory on board and down to the guests discretion.

The drinks package you receive complimentary is called the Select drinks package and includes, Wines, Beers & soft drinks by the glass, all passengers sharing the same cabin will receive the same package – soft drinks for children. This is great news for us, just imagine that drinks bill at the end of the cruise, it can come as quite a nasty shock, this is taken of in advance and provided by Royal Caribbean, for the adults they can however upgrade this package to include spirits and cocktails.

With various worldwide sailings there will be an itinerary that will suit everyone down to the ground, Mediterranean, Far East Caribbean, Australasian, Alaskan to name just afew!

During the month of February Royal Caribbean have also amended the deposit fee from £150.00 to £50.00 per person, this is a great booking incentive for us all to take advantage of.

Are we all looking forward to the arrival of Anthem of the Seas – I am, Im a travel agent and have been lucky enough to win a place for myself and a friend on a 2 night stay on board this fascinating and innovative ship in April.

I’m really looking forward to boarding this brand new ship and sampling everything onboard, the new Dynamic dining facility is something I’m looking forward to doing, a first for Royal Caribbean and something m sure other Cruise Lines may follow in years to come, it gives guests more more flexibility and a chance to dine in a different restaurant every night of their cruise.

Also having a cocktail made in the Iconic Bionic Bar, once Ive been on the ship I will be able to report back to you all about there new features and I am sure some secret ones which they are keeping under wraps.

Have a great weekend all 🙂 Happy Sailing.
