Sail With Shell

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Michelle and I have been working in the Travel Industry for just over 9 years. From being very young, I have always been extremely interested in Travelling the world. One of my favourite places to travel too is the Caribbean. I Love cruising the Caribbean islands and have done so 14 times with many different cruise ships. I have cruised with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Holland America Line & Norwegian Cruise Line, all in the Caribbean. My first ever cruise was with the old Ocean Village cruise ship to the Caribbean and then to the Mediterranean. Working in the Cruise Industry is most suited to me, as my favourite way to travel/holiday is by cruise. I blog about news in the industry and each trip I take so please keep checking back to see what I find on my travels.

With just 4 passenger decks and weighing only 2,842 tons, would the Celebrity Xpedition be for you?

The smallest of the Celebrity Cruise Line fleet – The Celebrity Xpedition, holds just 98 passengers over 4 decks. With a gross tonnage of 2,842 and being just 296 feet in length, what would it be like to spend a week on board of her?

Described by Celebrity Cruise line as a mega-yacht designed and built for exploration. Seven days a week, 365 days a year you will find the Xpedition cruising the beautiful waters of the Galapagos Islands. On board of the ship you will always find Galapagos National park certified naturalists and a very knowledgeable crew making your journey like no other.

Cruising out of Florida? Why not make the most of your holiday  with our Florida Cruise and Stay packages

Whether you are traveling as a Family, a couple or as friends, Florida has so much on offer for everyone. Of course, Orlando is the home to the famous Walt Disney World theme parks, but only a short drive away you can find some beautiful beaches!

With the launch of the new ship; Quantum of the Seas, from Royal Caribbean. I thought it would be a great time to blog about my cruises and experience with them.

Freedom of the Seas was the first ship from Royal Caribbean Cruise Line in which I sailed on. I cruised the Caribbean for 7 nights from Port Canaveral, Florida. Having previously been on two cruises with another cruise line prior to this, I was sure I knew what cruising had to offer – how wrong I was! Activities, food, drink, service and FUN was on tap everyday and I instantly fell in love with the ship AND the cruise line. I took an Ocean View Balcony stateroom for this sailing which was lovely. To date, I have been on the freedom of the seas 5 times in total

The Allure of the Seas

After sailing on other Royal Caribbean ships, I thought I would try the ship known as the largest in the world The Allure of the Seas. I spent 7 nights on board whilst cruising the Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale and WOW…….. I couldn’t fault the ship, staff or service in anyway. From the moment I arrived at the port everything ran like clockwork and I cannot complain about anything at all.

With 5,000+ guest capacity on board, I was surprised to find the embarkation process the quickest and easiest I have ever experienced with any cruise ship. after entering the terminal, we were checked in and on board well within 30 minutes.
