Here’s what to expect from Bermuda:
Ships dock on the Western end of Bermuda at The Royal Naval Dockyard. You’re within walking distance of attractions. There is a trolley train that takes day visitors around the Dockyard. If you want to venture a little further and do something independent then a ferry to Hamilton City takes 20 minutes. The town of St. George is a 45 minute ferry ride and offers numerous visitor attractions.
I would highly recommend buying a transportation pass on arrival in Bermuda, it gives you access to all public buses and ferries. A day pass is approx. $15pp (bargain)
John Smith’s Bay on the South Shore is famous for its pale pink sand and definitely worth a visit
Looking for something organised, Carnival Cruise Lines offer an array of excursions:
Kayak Eco Adventure Tours
Famous Homes & Hideaway Cruise
Discovery Cruises with snorkelling
One for the men – reef fishing
Gosling’s famous rum tasting
Did you know you can snorkel upto 7miles off shore? It’s an area called Eastern Blue Cut, where the coral reef rises from 35 feet off the sandy bottom and upto 3 feet under the surface. The coral reef then drops off to enter the Atlantic Ocean, which on a clear day you can see the 100 foot straight drop!
The white roof tops of Bermuda are used to collect drinking water
Bermuda is a beautiful sought after destination, what better way to visit than on board the new Carnival Horizon in 2018
