Brisbane is very much a green city in which it prides itself! With a subtropical climate 12 months of the year, it’s no wonder this city is full of year round alfresco activities!

Hop on a free inner city buses run weekdays between 7am – 6pm

After reading another guys post online it inspired me to make my own list of my top 5 life changing  travel destinations and experiences so here they are

5 – Lake Garda

My very first holiday on my own, and progressively fell in love with Italy. The small towns along the lake are stunning and a definite must see if you haven’t been there before. I stayed with an Italian friend of my dad’s and we drove around the lake sightseeing shopping and tasting local Italian delicacies. I was so taken with the beautiful scenery I forgot to admire the Italian men! It’s also a good base for travelling to the other lakes, Verona, Milan and Venice by train

Welcome to cruising Australia part 6 as we discover SYDNEY, New South Wales

I’ve been fortunate enough to visit Sydney on numerous occasions and it WOW’s every time! With so much to see and do I’ve narrowed it down to the best bits:

Free city tours of Sydney are available and a great way to find your bearings! Head to the Town Hall Square for the meeting point, operates twice daily.

Cruising out of Florida? Why not make the most of your holiday  with our Florida Cruise and Stay packages

Whether you are traveling as a Family, a couple or as friends, Florida has so much on offer for everyone. Of course, Orlando is the home to the famous Walt Disney World theme parks, but only a short drive away you can find some beautiful beaches!

Welcome to part 5 of Cruising Australia as we look at the magnificent destination of Melbourne

Having fist been to Melbourne in 2003 backpacking, I recently went back and had a totally different experience…. A good friend of mine lives there and I got to see and do things that only locals (or immense research) would know about

After a long flight our fist port of call (and well deserved) was a bar called Pony Fish Island – It’s basically situated under the Southgate pedestrian bridge (Nr Flinders Street station) on the Yarra River which runs through Melbourne. Amazing food, quirky drinks and atmosphere. It’s a great place to people watch! I would highly recommend it.

Adelaide – South Australia

Welcome to part three of Cruising Australia as I discuss the amazing port of Adelaide

I spent 3 months living in a suburb of Adelaide – Mitcham, I hung out with locals and got to experience the day to day local life and fell in love with Adelaide.

Gateway to the ‘outback’ Adelaide has lots to offer, they say it’s the most liveable city in Australia. Surrounded by parklands, historic buildings. It’s so easy to get around with hills and beaches reachable within 20 minutes.

Esperance – Western Australia

The second installment of my blog detailing the delights of cruising Australia.

Head south of Perth and you reach Esperance. This is one of my favourite places in Australia. With a Mediterranean climate all year round what’s not to like!

I actually flew from Perth to Esperance, however if you’re arriving by cruise you pre book a day trip or arrange prior to departure. My first experience was a scenic drive, a 38km tourist loop called the Great Ocean Drive. It takes in some of the most beautiful coastal scenery Australia has to offer. There are plenty of viewing stops along the way too.

This is part of a series of blogs discussing the many places to visit on an Australian cruise. Starting with the port of Perth!.

I think of Australia and it makes me smile! – WHY???? Because it’s the best place on the planet. When I get an inquiry for an Australian Cruise I could talk for hours, this Country oozes personality and each State and their Cities are so different!

Over the coming weeks I will be blogging about the major ports and attraction in Australia, from cities to top tips and interesting facts…. ENJOY!
