American rapper Armando Christian Pérez, aka Pitbull, hails from the ship’s homeport of Miami and also served as godfather for Norwegian Escape. He thrilled fans at the pier side concert. The ship’s hull artwork which was created by Guy Harvey served as the backdrop for the event and the artist even made a special guest appearance.
Attendees were treated to a special sneak preview of the entertainment that is available on board Norwegian Escape including the Tony Award-winning Broadway shows “After Midnight” and “Million Dollar Quartet” A selection of songs were performed from each respective show, before Pitbull brought down the house with his biggest hits, including “Give Me Everything”, “Fireball” and “Don’t Stop the Party”.
Having traveled on Escape myself last week (see previous blog) I would say that she is certainly worth all of the effort from Norwegian Cruise Line have clearly gone to to put on an afternoon packed with fun and entertainment. With 16 public decks and accommodating over 5,000 people, the 164,600-ton ship is the fifth biggest cruise vessel ever built. The ship is the biggest ever built for Norwegian Cruise Line and is an expanded version of Norwegian’s recently unveiled Norwegian Getaway & Breakaway.
Norwegian Escape boasts one of the largest deck-top fun zones at sea with four water slides a restaurant-lined boardwalk and a giant spa with a flurries-filled snow room.
With the addition of Escape, Norwegian now has 14 vessels and with their current offers including a complementary drinks package on ocean-view cabins or above, there has never been a better time to book a Norwegian Cruise. Feel free to contact me for a quote.
