Ever wanted to see the Sydney Opera House? the stunning beaches of Mauritius? Table mountain in Cape Town? or the white sands of Cape Verde? Well now you can do all this and unpack just once with a Cruise from Europe to Australia with Costa Cruise Lines!!!!
Built in 2010, the Costa Deliziosa is one of the larger cruise ships in the costa fleet with occupancy for 2,826 guests on board. Weighing 92,600 ton, she isn’t the largest ship afloat but she certainly has enough on board to keep passengers entertained throughout the fabulous 51 night itinerary on offer.
With 4 restaurants on board, including the club restaurant and Samsara restaurant (charges apply), passengers have plenty of dining choice on board. There are also 11 bars on board so finding somewhere to drink is never too difficult.
With all the food and drink on offer, you may want to do a few laps of the outdoor jogging and roller skating track or take a visit to the fitness center on board where they have state of the art training equipment to use.
One of the most popular places on board is the Samsara spa. Boasting 3,500 meter squared of relaxation space, the samsara spa is over two levels offering the use of the thalassotherapy pool, sauna, Turkish baths, beauty and spa treatment rooms and a UVA-ray solarium. If you really want to treat yourself, why not opt for a Samsara cabin where you have direct access to the spa from your cabin and will have your own personal well-being adviser and unlimited access to the spa areas and Thalassotherapy pool.
The 51 night itinerary starts with an overnight flight to Sydney where you will have a 3 night pre-cruise hotel stay at the 5* Luxury Sofitel Wentworth Hotel. Set in the heart of Sydney’s shopping and financial district this is a great place to start your cruise. Being a heritage listed building, the hotel holds history dating back to 1800. The hotel is well known for its visits from the Royal Family such as the Queen of England and the Duke of Edinburgh.
With sights such as the Harbour and the Opera House, Sydney is a brilliant place to start your cruise.
After your stay in Sydney and cruising to Melbourne and Perth, you will then enjoy an overnight stay in Port Louis, the capital city of Mauritius. Here you will be able to take in the unspoilt pristine beaches on offer. With endless ocean views and some of the best snorkeling in the world, you will have a relaxing stay after the hustle and bustle of Sydney.
Another main destination on this itinerary is Cape Town. Here you will spend overnight so you will get plenty of time to see the fantastic sights such as Table Mountain. If you are like me, you can take some photos or if you are more of a dare-devil why not take a cable car up to the top? and maybe even abseil back down? Also, with the highest shark population, Cape Town waters are home to more than a quarter of the worlds population of sharks….. again, for the dare-devils why not take a dive?
