Treasured memories come as standard on a P&O Cruises holiday. And with so much included in the price of your holiday, we promise to make each one go so much further.

This way for an escape brimming with unforgettable moments. Treasured memories come as standard on a P&O Cruises holiday… from breathtaking sights in faraway places to quiet cups of coffee in your cabin, while gazing out to sea. And so much is included in the price too, from flights and transfers, to shuttle buses in port, to all meals in the main restaurants, glamorous black-tie nights and glittering shows, to dance acts, children’s clubs, casino entry and so much more.

Besides the low deposit of 5% on sailings under 35 days P&O are also offering on board spends on all select fares on Ocean Views or above.

With over 250 destinations and the largest range of EX-UK sailings on offer up to 75% of their passengers return yearly.

World

With all the home comforts on offer with P&O from on board currency in Pound sterling to even not worrying about adaptors for you plugs as they are all British standard to good old British afternoon tea and all the entertainment aimed at the British guests.

Besides the regular itineraries with P&O they will also be offering themed Cruises aimed at those who are strictly come dancing fans to sports fanatics or food lovers. Visit our website www.cruiseclubuk.com for further dates and cruises.

Themed Cruises are also a favourite with P&O and their guests. On offer will be the Grand Prix in Monaco which will be a fly cruise, the Bruges Christmas market and Christmas and New Year in the Caribbean. On a personal level I am looking forward to the release of the Atlantic Coasts itinerary which will include Fireworks in Madera. Another Itinerary which more and more people are doing each year will be the Northern Lights, this is something that is on my bucket list of places to visit and is something my colleague Marcia has done several times before .

P&O aurora world wide

One thing I find after being in the travel industry for over 20 years are the amount of people who cannot get on their chosen cruise as many sell out quickly, not to be disappointed Christmas and New Year sailings are out on sale with P&O for 2018

Captains Choice Cruises

Sailing from Southampton in 2019 each cruise features a collection of classic destinations that P&O have visited many times and grown affection for over the years: With over 50 Itineraries they have put together from the British Isles to the Fjords and the Caribbean for those who are looking for something further a and guaranteed sunshine. Discover how good life can get with
Peninsular Club loyalty rewards

Every night you spend on board with us; every night of dining, laughter, music and easeful sleep, you are doing something else too. You are earning points to increase the rewards you enjoy next time you holiday with us. (Brownie points, as we like to think of them.)

The club has six tiers, named after the oceans and seas cruised by our ships. The tiers are arranged in order of size, with the smallest sea, the Ligurian, being the name of our most exclusive tier.

Here’s how it works…

For each night you spend on board, we award you 10 loyalty points which are applied at the end of your cruise. Once you have spent at least 15 nights on board (150 points), you automatically become a member of the Peninsular Club. So, after earning 150 points, you enter the Pacific Tier. As the number of nights you spend on board with us increases over subsequent holidays so, too, does your tier status.

AU_BRIDGE_003_2465747

Achieving Baltic and Ligurian Status

The Baltic and Ligurian Tiers reward our most loyal guests.

Baltic Tier: You will have at least 2501 points and would have spent 80 to 200 nights on board within the 3 years preceding the start of your next cruise.

Ligurian Tier: You will have at least 2501 points and would have spent at least 201 or more nights on board within the 3 years preceding the start of your next cruise.

Please note that members will only receive Peninsular Club benefits during a P&O Cruises holiday.

My next few blogs will be a guide to dress codes and how they vary depending on the Cruise lines.

Ladies will always find it easier than the men when it comes to packing for your Cruise holiday as a nice dress can always double up either to be casual or evening attire depending on the atmosphere. As for us men a tuxedo is a tuxedo.

Although the cruise lines that hold formal nights will require formal wear you will still have the opportunity to decline and eat in the buffet restaurant on-board your chosen cruise, this is usually the case with people that are not sailing out of the UK and only have the usual 20 kilos baggage allowance.

On the other hand those Cruise ships that do not offer formal nights the passengers can still opt to wear evening attire as dressing up is a big part for many harden cruise passengers.

My upcoming  blogs are an example of what is required, I would still recommend checking with us, your agent or cruise line before you sail as terms and conditions can change regarding dress codes.

shutterstock_569203693

Costa Cruises

Dress Code:  Although Costa Cruises are mostly enjoyed by a more casual approach depending on the length of the cruise one or two nights are formal where men are recommended to wear a suit and an evening dress for the ladies.

Restrictions:  No ripped jeans or bathing suits

Cruise and Maritime

Dress Code:   Offering a relaxed dress code Cruise and Maritime leave it to the passenger’s discretion. Like most cruise lines ripped jeans and bathing suits is still forbidden. Cruise and Maritime on all their voyages have two formal gala nights, the cruise line recommends a suit or a pair of trousers with a jacket for the men although no tie is required , the ladies a cocktail dress or a skirt with a blouse.

shutterstock_456882157

Crystal Cruises

Dress Code:  Crystal Cruises has three types of dress codes, formal, informal and casual. From 18:00 hours daytime attire is not permitted. Like most cruise lines dinner suits and cocktail dresses can be worn at any time and are required to be worn on Crystal Cruises formal nights. Passengers sailing with Crystal can expect at least one gala night and in some cases two nights depending on the length of the sailing.

Restrictions: Jeans are not permitted in any venue or lounge areas on the ship including the casino

Cunard

Dress code:  Well known for being the most formal dress code at sea is something Cunard’s passengers enjoy about sailing with the world famous cruise line. On formal nights which is usually four depending on the length of the cruise tuxedo or a dark suit with a bow tie or dress tie and a cocktail dress for the ladies is a must. Passengers who do not want to dress formally on the formal nights can dine in the buffet restaurant,  they would still require to wear a pair of trousers with a jacket but no tie is required and for the ladies a skirt and a blouse. Jeans are not permitted with Cunard even on formal nights.

shutterstock_510998728

Fred Olsen

Dress code: Fred Olsen have two types of dress code being smart casual and formal and on their Caribbean cruises a couple of the nights are themed nights. The usual attire is required for formal nights which is a dark suit or tuxedo for the men and a cocktail or evening dress for the ladies. The more relaxed evenings the passengers can dress in chinos and polo shirts for the men and the women also smart casual. Dark jeans are permitted on casual nights as long as they are not ripped. Like all cruise lines Fred Olsen will not allow swimsuits in the dining room.

Holland America

Dress code:  Holland America’s formal nights known as ‘’Gala Attire ‘’ includes trousers and collared shirts for the men and dresses or pants for the ladies with a blouse, the same attire is required in all the fine dining restaurants on-board their ships. For those passengers who just want to be more laid back and escape their daily routine of wearing suits they can dine in the buffet restaurant or order room service.

Swimsuits, t-shirts and shorts are not permitted in restaurants or public areas during evening hours. The wearing of jeans are fine as long as they are not ripped.

As mentioned I will be highlighting cruise line dress codes over my next few blogs so keep your eyes peeled! Also most cruise lines have a ‘white night’ so make sure you pack whites

The newest addition to Norwegian Cruise Line is still under construction but NCL have opened up to give the public an insight to what facilities will be available on-board this amazing vessel.

Due to make her debut in April 2018, the Norwegian Bliss stated by CEO Andy Stuart will be ‘Norwegians cruise lines most incredible ship to date’.

The Norwegian Bliss will feature several attractions that are based on the lines China based Norwegian Joy, one of the   major vocal points being the two level race car track. The track on the Norwegian Bliss will be nearly 1000 feet longer than the Norwegian Joy offering four different speed settings based on the drivers skills form Novice to advance drivers reaching speeds of up to 30 miles per hour. Not to disturb the passengers the cars completely run in silence , this will not stop the drivers getting the full racecourse experience as the sound of engines etcetera are fed through speakers situated in the drivers headrests .

930_50-50_race-laser-lasertag-1ed 930_50-50_racetrack-2

Another added feature taken from the Norwegian Joy for those passengers who like the High tech experience will be an open aired laser tag course which will be open day and night.

Scaling the size of the ship, passengers will be able to enjoy two swimming pools and six hot tubs. Besides the pool area passengers will be able to enjoy the ships Aqua park which will feature two multi-story waterslides. Those who class themselves as frill seekers will be able to try the high speed Ocean Loops free fall slide which has two heart stooping loops, one that protrudes over the side of the ship and the second one being a see through loop that extends to the deck below. If that’s not enough you have the chance to go on the tandem Aqua Racer slide giving people the opportunity to race side by side for more than 360 feet.

Oh and of course let’s not forget about the kids who will have hours of fun with the splash pads, water cannons, tipping buckets as well as junior sized slides.

Norwegian Cruise Lines are known for their child friendly ships and the Norwegian Bliss will be no different. Offering a Splash Academy which will be located on deck 5 offering supervised activities for children ranging from age 3 to 12 years of age. For the teenagers 13 to 17 years of age they will have their own space located next to the ships arcade, with comfy furniture they will be able to enjoy gaming stations including Foosball, air hockey and even a dance floor with neon lighting.
