The Caribbean, a lush tropical paradise, sun drenched beaches, beautiful green topography, the question is, is it better to have a Caribbean holiday and stay in one resort or have a Caribbean cruise and visit a lot of resorts?
Both can offer an All Inclusive drinks package, both offer entertainment, both offer all your meals, both offer air conditioned bedrooms, both can offer exemplary service, both offer return flights and airport transfers, however only one can offer a hotel at sea that has a daily changing panorama with multiple destinations and that is a Cruise Ship. There is a plethora of islands to choose from , Antigua is one of 2 major islands that make up the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda. Ringed with coral reefs, the island has 365 sandy beaches, one for every day of the year. Set along English Harbour, There is the restored Nelson’s Dockyard. How about St Lucia? I got married here in 2009 and it is a beautiful paradise with 2 semi volcanic peaks called the ‘ pitons ‘ you can go whale watching from here. St Maartan is also a favourite of mine It comprises 2 separate countries, divided between its northern French side, called Saint-Martin, and its southern Dutch side, Sint Maarten. The island is home to busy resort beaches and secluded coves. It’s also known for fusion cuisine, vibrant nightlife and duty-free shops selling jewellery and liquor. Then there is St. Vincent and the Grenadines, this is a southern Caribbean island comprising of the main island, St. Vincent, and a chain of smaller islands. With yacht-filled harbours, chic private isles and volcanic landscapes, it’s known for its major sailing destinations such as reef-lined Bequia Island off Admiralty Bay, bordered by white-sand beaches like Princess Margaret. Not forgetting Mustique, Grenada, The British Virgin Islands, Guadeloupe, Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados, You can choose to holiday in one of these or better still why not visit them all, in one 14 night trip on a sumptuous cruise ship? Where is my credit card I am booking one right now.
