September just gone I decided to take my wife for her birthday to one of our favourite places in the world no other than Las Vegas. After a five night stay this was followed by a seven night cruise on the Grand Princess with a further two nights at the end in San Francisco.
Flying from Manchester with British Airways to Las Vegas via London Heathrow we started our holiday with a five nights stay a stunning hotel, located just off the strip. All though they don’t have a Casino in the hotel and I must admit I am partial to the odd flutter I have chosen this hotel as we will be taking our ten year old daughter with us and besides the hotel having amazing revues Las Vegas with a young child can be a bit hard in many hotels in Las Vegas
I absolutely love Las Vegas. Many people think Las Vegas is all about the gambling, of course it is a big part that most people relate Las Vegas to but with some of the best shows in the world on offer and some amazing places to eat and not to forget the great weather you will find something to suit everyone.
All though I have been eleven times to Vegas I have never done a tour of the Grand Canyon and this time around I made it a priority to do so. Tours of the Grand Canyon can be done by coach or for those braver than myself by helicopter as the coach tour takes over eleven hours.
Friendly advice when booking a hotel in Las Vegas: – Most hotels in the USA carry a resort fee and Las Vegas is known to be much higher than anywhere else. For example the Trump hotel carries a Resort fee of $35.00 per room per day, this is on top of the USA tax that needs to be paid, so overall if not accounted for a big chunk of your spending money can be eaten up.
