With the launch of the new ship; Quantum of the Seas, from Royal Caribbean. I thought it would be a great time to blog about my cruises and experience with them.
Freedom of the Seas was the first ship from Royal Caribbean Cruise Line in which I sailed on. I cruised the Caribbean for 7 nights from Port Canaveral, Florida. Having previously been on two cruises with another cruise line prior to this, I was sure I knew what cruising had to offer – how wrong I was! Activities, food, drink, service and FUN was on tap everyday and I instantly fell in love with the ship AND the cruise line. I took an Ocean View Balcony stateroom for this sailing which was lovely. To date, I have been on the freedom of the seas 5 times in total
Oasis of the Seas was the second ship I sailed on with Royal Caribbean. Here I cruised the Caribbean again on a 7 night sailing out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I was completely blown away by this ship! Due to the size, the amenities on board and just simply the WOW factor this ship has to offer. The first ship to offer a zip line at sea, I had to have a go! and I did….. Shops, restaurants and bars on board are abundant with so much choice. I am not usually a person to dine in the speciality restaurants on board ships, I usually stick to my main dining room meals or buffet, BUT, the choices on here were brilliant and I found myself eating in Chops Grille and the Seafood Shack an awful lot. To date, I have been on the Oasis of the seas twice.
Jewel of the Seas was then the third Royal Caribbean ship I sailed on. After being on the big ships, I had found paradise. This ship is big, but not huge and I found everything on board to be perfect. I have only sailed on the Jewel once but watch this space.
Allure of the Seas was my latest cruise with Royal, back in August 2014. Being the sister ship to the Oasis, I was pretty confident everything was going to be the same – and I was correct! The only difference was the Seafood Shack restaurant is replaced with a Mexican Themed restaurant called Ritas Cantina – Which was a very fun night! $12.00 will get you a 3 course Mexican meal and 3 alcoholic cocktails – Bargain!!
I have stayed in Outside, Balcony and Suite cabins with Royal Caribbean and I could never complain about any of them. No matter the cabin, it has always been clean, tidy and modern.
Staff on board royal are very helpful and fun. They are there to not only assist you but also to entertain you, and the sure do that.
